To analyze a picture : a file with a .gif or .jpg extension

• Load the picture (load menu): you'll have to give me (my Applet) the permission to read your disk (!!) click to import certificate for Netscape , accept the certificate and restart Netscape.
• Click (with mouse) a point to define a point of the horizontal line to be analyzed: the importance along the line (between 0 et 255) of the selected color (box:red, green or blue) is shown and given.
• If you want to analyze a non horizontal line : check the box (upper right corner), and drag a second point to define the line.

• zoom : menu zoom and delimit a bounding rectangle by two corners use the mouse (two clicks and dragging)
• Adjust the width of the line (in pixels) : number from 1 to ..., or the basic color. A scaling factor ss can be introduced after the line width ww  in the form:  ww*ss
• reset restores the original picture, : values which can be copied and exported
